Skinny Sangria created by Ceviche offers great taste that won't wallop your waist

by Mary Lou Janson | December 27, 2010

Tasteful but not waist-full aptly describes the new Skinny Sangria now served exclusively at Ceviche Tapas Bars and Restaurants in the original Tampa location as well as sister sites in St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota and Orlando.

The lighter, lower calorie version of traditional sangria made its public debut earlier this month. With about half the calories and sugar content of its counterpart, Skinny Sangria tips in at almost 100 calories per glassful and boasts lots of flavor plus an abundance of freshly cut fruit afloat in the pale pink drink.

Of course, those who insist on more typical sangrias can still enjoy Ceviche’s classic red, white and sparkling Cava champagne-style sangrias.

Whether the choice is red, white, light or champagne-style, all work well with Ceviche’s signature array of more than 100 hot and cold tapas, hearty paellas and cazuelas. Many of the dishes are created from authentic recipes representing Northern Spain and Catalan and can be enjoyed with typical wines from those regions as well.
