Can Fall really be around the corner? Trees descending into balls of glowing red, yellow, and orange, crisp evenings filled with pumpkin pie and spiced apple cider, and wearing cable-knit sweaters paired with your favorite corduroys… perfection. What could be more quintessential than a visit to the corn maze?
Hubbs Corn Maze in Clinton, NC, is a snappy 45 drive from Fayetteville (but is worth every minute). For those of you who’ve been living under a rock, a corn maze is basically just that: a maze carved into a grown up corn field. This particular field has three mazes (of varying difficulty) and a separate haunted trail that is open the later part of October.
Other Autumn-esque activities include a barrel train ride, giant slides and a toddler town, fire pits for rent, a mini hay-bale maze, hay and pony rides, concessions, and beginning in October, a pick-your-own pumpkin patch.
Now, for the “must-knows”:
The maze (maize? hahaha) runs Sept. 18 through Nov. 7 and is open Friday 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Additionally, the maze is open Wednesday through Sunday the week of Halloween.
Admission is $8.00 a person, ages 3 and up. Their website lists prices for all of the extras. Check it out.
Happy… um… happy getting lost?

Thanks for the article. We would love to have everyone come out and visit us at Hubb’s Corn Maze. My husband and I own and operate Hubb’s. We feel that it is the best place in southeastern NC to bring the family out and enjoy a beautiful fall day and evening. One thing to mention is that the pumpkins we have are not grown on site. The climate at our location does not allow us to have the “Charlie Brown pumpkin patch” We tried to grow them one year without much success. We blame it on the climate anyway.
The pumpkins are in an area that provides for nice photo ops. Look forward to seeing everyone. Tammy
