Super Bowl, Super Food, Super Beer, Super Fun

That’s how I sum up O’Brion’s Pub and Grill on a regular basis. Super. Fun. And they have good food and beer. What more do you need in a neighborhood pub?

Super Bowl Sunday won’t be any different. Well it may be more fun for some of the fans, depending on who wins the big game of course. A great place to see all the action is at one of the three O’Brion’s locations in the Charleston area. The pub has screens galore to watch the game. There isn’t a seat in the house that you can’t view several big screen TVs from—and that includes the bathrooms.

It’s not just the game that makes the party. It’s the food and beer that accompany the cheering and booing that keep people coming back. The beer selection is better than average, with rotating seasonal beers on tap and a good selection of domestics and imports, with Guinness being a specialty. It’s even listed as an appetizer. Besides beer, they have a full bar as well as wine selections.

Once you sit down, it will take you a few minutes to wade through the menu. The traditional true pub fare of fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, corned beef and cabbage, and pot roast is served in generous portions. You won’t be leaving hungry. If you decide to visit on a day other then Super Bowl Sunday, I recommend Tuesday night. Burgers are half price after 7 pm and you can play trivia while you are eating. On Wednesdays the ribs are half price and on Fridays it’s the fish and chips.

So whether you chose to experience the Super Bowl at O’Brion’s or just stop in for a meal, you’ll leave happy, not hungry.
