Chef Cooks Up Cuisine with "Southern Softness"

When you think of south'n eatin', it's easy to imagine all things fried (oysters, shrimp, crab, etc.)  And while there's nothing wrong with that (after all, who doesn't love a fried shrimp po' boy), at True Restaurant in Mobile, Alabama south'n eatin' becomes southern fine dining at it's best.

Chef Wesley true describes the menu as New American and contemporary French cuisine made with a "southern softness."  Diners can enjoy entree's such as the Lamb 2 Ways -- a half rack of lamb, a lamb wonton served with sweet potatoes, roasted red peppers and goat cheese or the Local Flounder Stuffed with Shrimp and Crab served with Bacon Valout'e, Roast Fennel and Green Beans.  When complemented with a glass from True's award-winning wine list and presented amidst the chic and trendy decor, guests will insist they're dining at one of New York City's finest eateries.

And why not.  Chef True learned his trade at several New York City restaurants before returning to his native Mobile to open True in 2007.

True accepts reservations, but walk-ins are also welcome.  Dinner entree's usually run between $20 and $30 with salads, appetizers and desert all choice extras not to be missed. 

Located in the trendy Legacy Village in the Spring Hill area of Mobile, True promises to create an unforgetable culinary experience sure to make your Southern vacation complete.
