No crowds, mild weather, and greatly reduced hotel rates suggest winter is the perfect time to plot an escape to Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach enjoys mostly mild winters with average day time temperatures hovering around the mid sixties. Many resorts offer indoor pools and activities so that even a bad weather day is filled with enjoyment.

Oceanfront accommodations are a real bargain, most winter specials are at least a half off the regular rates. Some of the best deals I have come across:

Captain's Quarters Resort: The Winter Wonderland of Savings package offers guests rates for as low as $40 per night. The Resort also offers guests a twenty lane bowling alley and entertainment center, oceanfront restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, and much more!

Island Vista: Starting at $56 per night The Island Vista Winter Getaway package offers a lavish stay at an affordable price. This is my favorite place to stay in Myrtle Beach and it is quite a deal.

Dunes Village: If you are bringing the kids along The Water Wonder Land package offers guests rates starting at $59 per night that include discounted Ripley's Aquarium tickets and access to the massive indoor water park.

Ocean Creek Resort: The Winter Manger Special offers rates as low at $39 per night and is a great location to be near the entertainment venues.
